Today, the people that work at the Georgia Tech rec center told a group of people (I was part of it) around the DDR machine that they were meeting with the arcade vendor next week, and they wanted our ideas for what machines should be changed out and put in. Unfortunately, as this was happening, I had to go to class.
An hour later, I come back from class.
They've got A FUCKING MAP.
Apparently, since the DDR machine accounts for about half the money in the arcade, we're suggesting a DDR lounge: two DDR machines with couches and chairs. :D
Also, all of the games that don't make money are being taken out and being replaced with better games.
Games that are being taken out: SF Rush 2049, Virtua Fighter Evolution, Silent Scope EX, Tekken 4.
Games that are proposed: Second DDR machine, Guilty Gear X2, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Initial D, House of the Dead 3.
Games that are staying: DDR, two pinball machines, Galaga/Ms. Pacman, Soul Calibur II, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Police 911 2, Ballistics, Tekken Tag Tournament.
It was great. Two hours after that, two of the guys came back with six pages printed out of data, including a map, projected token prices, which machines are higher priority (fixing our shitty DDR machine is priority one)...every last detail is covered.
If the arcade vendor and Tech both approve our ideas, the arcade will be so much better next year. :D :D :D
